Natalie Sprite


Natalie Sprite was short-listed for the 2002 Australian/Vogel Literary Award for her novel Grace Notes. In 2004, Natalie appeared at the Sydney Writers’ Festival as part of a showcase of Best New Regional Writers. Her work was short-listed for both the 2008 and 2009 Marian Eldridge Awards.

Natalie’s short stories have been published in literary journals and anthologies such as Australian Award Winning Writing. Her work has won several literary prizes, including the ABC Open fiction price and the NT Literary Awards.

She is the recipient of a number of awards and fellowships including Australia Council grants for literature and music, Varuna fellowships, an Asialink fellowship in Indonesia and a 2018 mentorship with the Australian Society of Authors.

Natalie lives on a small island off the coast of Queensland, where she has just built her own home.
